Calls for SOS Alarms

Calls for SOS Alarms

Do you already have an SOS alarm from another provider? Generally alarm providers require 2 points of contacts that are no more than 45 minutes away from you in the event of an emergency, these points of contacts are often left to neighbours, friends or love one that live more than the 45 minutes.

Should the worst happen and you have to press your alarm button these two points of contacts have the right to refuse to come out to assist you, this could be due to it being the middle of the night, the contact is a friend of the same age as yourself or simple refuses to help, we have known in the pass where someone has pressed their button and the point of contact was in hospital themselves and on another occasion the son of a client had moved to another area and was now a 4 hour drive away.

At this point if the alarm provider cant hear you they will then send the call though to the ambulance service for a welfare check. Within the ambulance service these calls would grade as a C2 or C3 meaning the they have either 18 minutes or a 120 minutes to get to you. Unfortunately is most cases the time is longer than 18 or 120 minutes, with an average ambulance service trust in the United Kingdom taking over 4000, 999 calls in a 24 hours period means that the wait times are longer.

Response Plus have a on call duty team that are ready to respond to SOS alarms from other alarm providers. We would be put down as one of your points of contacts and should we get a call to assist you then we would be with you within a 45 minute period. Once on scene we would check that you are ok and if you wasn't then we call the ambulance and give them a full update on what we find, we would then stay with you until they arrive and hand you over into their safe hands.
